In 2025, I took part in a two-week artist residency at Studio 88 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. As part of my ongoing project earth: ارث, I explored themes of soil, memory, and migration through local materials and site-specific experimentation. I worked with henna for its historical connection to skin, ritual, and storytelling using it as a natural pigment that evokes both presence and trace. Mulberry paper, local soil, and the corton plant whose vivid color and layered growth pattern caught my attention also became central to the work. These materials shaped a solo presentation that reflected on land, body, and the poetic residues of belonging.
